More than 85 percent of Chicago public school students come from
low-income homes. Many students lack access to the resources and
supports that help them succeed academically. Communities In Schools of Chicago offers a solution
by connecting students and their families with free programs and
services that address students’ unmet needs. These can range from
physicals and immunizations and theater performances, to violence
prevention education and mental health care.
This year, Communities In Schools of Chicago will impact more than 63,000 students at more than
a quarter of the Chicago public schools. But there’s a lot more work
for us to do. And many more students who need help.
You can contribute to our important work by spreading the word
